Supporting Teenage Mental Health

Total Wellness Center

Amount Awarded: $202,444 | Completed July 2024

Will County’s American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) allocations has expanded access to mental health services county-wide. The Wellness Institute’s ARPA-funded Total Wellness Center has made significant strides in increasing mental health services by launching a 24/7 crisis hotline and counseling services providing essential support to teens in need.

ARPA funds have helped increase awareness of the Total Wellness Center, including a targeted marketing campaign to raise awareness and engage the community. This campaign includes digital advertising, social media outreach, and collaborations with local schools and organizations. Additionally, Total Wellness Center’s counseling services and 24/7 crisis hotline, 1-877-TYM-2-TLK, are now fully operational, providing essential support and intervention to teens in need.

The marketing campaign for TYM-2-TLK has significantly increased community awareness and engagement. By leveraging digital advertising, social media, and local partnerships, Total Wellness Center has successfully reached a broader audience, driving more teens and families to services. This heightened visibility has led to a notable increase in utilization of their counseling services and the 24/7 crisis hotline. As a result, more teens are receiving timely support, and there is a growing sense of community involvement in mental health advocacy.

“The launch of our marketing campaign for TYM-2-TLK has been a crucial step in expanding our reach and impact within the community. ARPA funding has been instrumental in enabling us to effectively promote our services and engage with a wider audience. This support has not only facilitated the successful rollout of our counseling services and crisis hotline but also fostered greater community awareness and involvement in mental health issues. We are deeply appreciative of the funding, which has been vital in advancing our mission to support and uplift the mental well-being of our youth.”
