Expanding Healthcare Access

Trinity Services, Inc.

Amount Awarded: $557,510 | Completed February 2025

Will County’s allocation of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) dollars is expanding access to services throughout the county, including for healthcare and mental health. Of the $134 million of federal funds that were allocated for transformational projects in our communities, Trinity Services received over $550 thousand to open a new Community Health Center in Joliet. On February 27, they cut the ribbon on the new facility at 2000 Glenwood Avenue, which will offer outpatient therapy, homeless services, and Living Room support.

Trinity Services was previously renting space for both their Counseling Center and Mobile Crisis Response Team. The expansion for the new facility will empower the growth of therapists, recovery support specialists, and mental health professionals, along with an expansion of the homeless support team. The funding will expand access to behavioral health services, food distribution, and victim support in Will County.
“For a long time, we have wanted a place where people can come and receive multiple levels of care and take advantage of many different services, all in one convenient location. Ideally, we would like this site to become a certified community health center, which requires adding psychiatry services and nursing support. We are also in the process of obtaining a substance use license that will allow us to provide outpatient care on multiple levels.”
